Dr. Jeremy Holloway to Deliver Keynote at Ohio’s 2026 Statewide Community Health Worker Conference

Telegacy is excited to announce that its Founder and Director, Dr. Jeremy Holloway, PhD, MBA, will deliver a keynote presentation at the 2026 Ohio Statewide Community Health Worker Conference, taking place November 5–6 at the Hilton Columbus at Easton.
His keynote, “Cross-Cultural Communication in the Healthcare Workplace,” will explore one of the most important elements of effective healthcare: our ability to understand, connect with, and genuinely listen to the people we serve.
Community Health Workers play an extraordinary role in bridging the gap between healthcare systems and the communities they serve. Their work strengthens trust, helps individuals navigate complex health challenges, and addresses the social determinants that influence health and well-being.
Drawing from his experience as a former Assistant Professor and Director of Geriatric Education at the University of North Dakota, along with his current work through his national program and work through the Oregon Research Institute on healthy aging and social connection, Dr. Holloway will share practical approaches to improving communication across cultural backgrounds and lived experiences.
At the heart of his presentation is a powerful yet simple principle:
“Assume less. Ask questions more.”
Through engaging examples and actionable strategies, Dr. Holloway will highlight how cultural understanding, meaningful conversations, and the What Matters approach can strengthen relationships between healthcare professionals and those they serve.
His work through Telegacy, an award-winning intergenerational health promotion program, demonstrates the value of human connection in addressing loneliness and supporting healthier communities.
“Re-Humanizing Healthcare, One Conversation at a Time” remains central to his mission, and this gathering provides another meaningful opportunity to advance that vision alongside the dedicated professionals serving Ohio’s communities.
